I have Zero-G gold from Safariland, and I personally do not find it to be comfortale at all. I am one that likes to wear my vest kind of tight. With the way the ZG is made, it is very difficult to do. The velcro will only stick to the side of the vest. My old vest had an entire front velcro panel.

I did read about a contractor in Iraq who took 2 or 3 7.62 hits while wearing Dragonskin and didn't even know it. I'm partial to Safariland Zero-G vests, right now I wear a Gold Level II Zero G with a Second Chance T-30 5x8 plate in the front. I haven't ever worn a Matrix, but I'm sure it's just as good as a Zero-G and well worth the money spent.

What type of vest do you wear? - Police Forums & Law ...

My first vest was a safariland Sub-One, great vest, but a little too stiff. It finally broke in, about 3 years later. I had outgrown it by then. My new one is a Zero-G, it is much more comfortable than my Sub-One was. They are both level IIIa and I had used both for bike patrol. I would also recommend a dry-fit shirt from Nike to wear underneath.
